The location was great, close to ocean walk/shopping. The pool was plenty big to accommodate all the guests. Nice breakfast.
Not enough places to hang wet towels, swim suits in our room. Rust in the bathtub was terrible. Not enough bath towels left for number of people in the room. (Room was a suite for 6 people, only 4 towels were left). Suites should have two air conditioners in the room, the room never quite cooled down and those farthest from the a/c sweated at night while the person near the a/c froze.
It was close to the beach.breakfast was served daily and it was cool to see the kids enjoy making there own waffles on the griddle.rooms appeared to have been renovated recently with some exclusions.
The bathtub was a little rusty .....but for the money overall good hotel enjoyed our stay..............will stay here again.........
Great loacation and easy to find. We were in town to go to nascar race and spend a little time at the beach. Worked well for both.
Floor was a little dirty. Not visibly but if we walked without sandals our feet would be dirty. Nothing unusual for a beach hotel. Perhaps a more frequent carpet Shampoo would be in order.
I liked the fact that the hotel was very inexpensive for being right by the beach, nice pool and tiki bar that just opened, the bartenders at the bar were very friendly and took the time to get to know you and most importantly remembered you when you came the next day.
Beds were not very comfortable, staff was not very approachable, we asked every day for towels for 6 people in our room and everyday they would only give us 3, free breakfast was nice, however the person running the breakfast bar was not around and had to wait for more food, and I strongly believe that the staff should take some tips from the bartenders on how to communicate with customers.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were as advertised and the beds were comfortable.
The chairs by the pool are fading and tearing. Most do not have the bar on the back of them so that you can sit up. The pool was fairly dirty with bugs. I know it is love bug season but maybe you should skim more often. The hot breakfast was marginal. It would be nice to have some fruit, a better toaster for the bagels and bread. The staff needs to go around more often and wipe down chairs and tables.
the dj from radio stations was great music for everyone more hotels shoud do this its a very homey feeling i felt very at home at this place would stay again and again everything was great
the laundry room need to be updated its too hot to stand there and wash cothing
First of all we could not park our vehicle without leaving the keys so it could be moved if needed...... Second, the pool staff was rude to my son and was not adequate in cleaning pool surroundings.....there was beer cans and trash left all around the pool area and on oceanfront lawn. The elevators were extremely hot ( no air flow) and smelled of urine... We were suppose to be given wrist bands to go to the pool area and were not so we had to go all the way back to the lobby to obtain them. Vending machines were empty and there were no snack machines. Would not stay here ever again !!!! Aku Tiki is a much nicer place......and comparable in price !
Room was filthy, fridge froze all food, they let people come to pool that are not even staying at hotel. The free breakfast was a JOKE! I told the lady that was working there that the bagels had mold in them I watched her take the bagels that had mold out and put the rest back out for people to eat. This was the most un pleasant trip I have had in daytona. Also the walls and doors are paper thin you can hear everyone outside. And last but not least the air conditioner did not work very well we stayed in room 400.
hotel fine poor elevators / hot no air / outside while there vewed room at bahama house this hotel was farer awawy from main st area but for same price more updated lobby great rooms with balcony would stay here next vist maybe in oct 2012
It is within walking distance to the boardwalk and good restaurants. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Has a large bathroom.
The hallways and stairs could use some attention and the bathrooms in the breakfast area were bad. Toilets were clogged in this public area.
convenience for beach and pool access vice versa. Excellent for my small children.
I did not appreciate guest smoking from their own patio from the main floor. I would prefer if they smoke away from the facility. It is also not good for second hand smoking specially with children around. Perhaps Boardwalk Inn should refrain their guest from smoking within the facility. I also noticed other people that were not registered at the Inn and use the pool. I had seen them personally walk accross the street to thier motel.
We enjoyed that it was located on the beach.
The breakfast was not very good. The housekeeper left us with only two towels to use after she cleaned the room. Two towels for three people also with pool and beach it is impossible to have only two towels. Pool did not offer pool towels which is not normal. Beds were extremely firm and both nights my husband and had barely slept.
The only thing I liked was the free hot breakfast each morning.
Rooms need to be updated or at least fix the problems. Water leaked all over the floor when showering, no lid on the toilet (no where to sit if dressing in bathroom). Only 1 mirror in the room, only 1 chair at the table. Very small room for our family. No security or workers anywhere, so beach goers could come right into our pool area. No resturant on site(except free breakfast buffet). Would never stay there again. This place was not cheap and I expected much more for my money. I would compare to a Motel 8, not a beach resort. The worst part about this hotel was the noise! All night we heard sirens and loud noises.
Beach Access. Proximity to Pier, Close by Shopping. Great Pool Deck with spa. Over all great value. Loved the free hot breakfast.
Very few ocean view rooms by comparison to other places on the beach.
Breakfast was great, lociations was awesome for the beach and shopping.
That there was not a lid on the tolit
